Ganesh Sittampalam made this Freedom of Information request to UK Border Agency
The request was refused by UK Border Agency.

Dear Sir or Madam,
Please supply all evidence gathered during the investigation you
conducted into the recent breach of the law by Baroness Scotland in
employing someone who did not have the right to work in the
country.
I am particularly interested in what evidence there is to back up
the claim that Baroness Scotland did take steps to check the
worker's documents (as your chief executive has stated, for example
here:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/po...).
I recognise that much of this evidence will be personal data of
either Baroness Scotland or of the worker in question, and that
some redactions may be necessary to protect the privacy of the
worker.
In as much as it is personal data of Baroness Scotland, please
either ask her for permission to release it, or accept there is a
substantial public interest in releasing it given the nature of her
position and the public statements she and others have already made
on the subject.
I note that the penalty has now been determined so I presume that
the investigation is now completed and there would be no prejudice
to ongoing proceedings whose outcome is still in doubt.
Yours faithfully,
Ganesh Sittampalam

Dear UK Border Agency,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of UK Border Agency's
handling of my FOI request 'Baroness Scotland investigation'.
I do not agree with your application of either exemption and I
refer you to the comments about these exemptions in my initial
request, which you have not addressed.
I am also unhappy about the huge length of time it took you to
respond to the request and would like a proper explanation for why
it happened and details of what you are doing to prevent a
recurrence, especially given your past failures to deal with FOI
requests in a timely fashion.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is
available on the Internet at this address:
