Dear Patric, Many thanks for your information. Should I assume from
your reply that, as bacteriophages are not tested for, they are
considered to be safe for human consumption?

Dear Mr Jozefiak

Thank you for your further enquiry on bacteriophages. Unfortunately, we
do not have the information to be able to answer this question. You may
be able to get more information on bacteriophages in drinking water from
the Drinking Water Inspectorate, the body which oversees drinking water
quality in England, or the Health Protection Agency, the organisation
responsible for an integrated approach to protecting public health in
the UK. Web links for these organisations are given below.
