Backdated Child Benefit

A Smith made this Freedom of Information request to Home Office

The request was successful.

From: A Smith

24 October 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

Please let me know in what way the Home Office will compensate HSMP
holders for lost Child Benefit which HMRC will not backdate further
than 3 months?

Is there a policy that addresses this issue? Or is a further
judicial review necessary?

Yours faithfully,

Adam
