Dear Mr Witheridge
Further to our recent correspondence I can confirm the following:
The only Housing Stock that Wiltshire Council owns is in the Salisbury area and we advertised 9 vacancies as available for rent last week.
The number of households on the Homes 4 Wiltshire register as at yesterday's date was 11,889. As we operate a sub-regional choice based lettings system, this is the number of households who have applied to join the housing register for the whole of the Wiltshire Council area. Applicants are free to express an interest in any advertised property for which they are eligible - they are not restricted to certain geographical areas.
No properties are held for asylum seekers etc., whether emergency or otherwise.
The Council has not withheld any information in relation to this request under the exemptions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
I hope the information received is what you were expecting.
