Dear London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (London Fire
Brigade),
In the most recent 12 month period for which figures are available,
and the 12 month period preceding that (please note what these
periods are), please could you tell me:
1. On how many occasions did one or more fire brigade appliances
attended emergency calls to the University of East London's
Docklands Campus (University Way, London E16).
2. How many of these calls were to
a) Halls of residences
b) Other buildings
c) any other call outs
3. For each of 2a, 2b, and 2c, how many were false alarms. If this
breakdown is not possible, then please give the total number of
false alarms.
4. The average response time for emergency calls to the University
of East London's Docklands campus.

Dear Chris McKenna
Thank you for your request for information which we received on 24 January
2011 where you have requested for the following information:
"In the most recent 12 month period for which figures are available, and

Your request was considered under the provisions of the Freedom of
Information Act and I attach information in response. Please note that the
data set is limited to addressable locations located on University Way
E16. For buildings that are not Halls of Residence we are unable to
identify if these are owned by the University of East London or private
businesses.
The average response time for the first fire appliance mobilised is 5:38
minutes. London Fire Brigade aim to arrive within 6 minutes from receiving
an emergency call.
