2)what furnishings are provided in the dwellings and at what
cost
3)what is the cost of land line and mobile phones which are
provided including phone calls
4)have any of the properties installed pre payed meter's for gas
and electric services if so how many
5)what is the total cost to provide tv licences and are they
provided at no cost to the tenant please provide this information for
the past 3 years up to date

Dear Gary of the Smith Family

Following your email with the following query on RFI 2128:

" i take it we have no refugees or asylum seekers housed in
social housing in north Tyneside"

Services have replied as follows:

The reply is given in two parts based on the legal definition of Asylum
Seeker and Refugee:

Firstly that there are no Asylum Seekers as tenants or leaseholders in
North Tyneside Council Accommodation nor do
we have any tenancy or leasehold arrangements with any agents on their
behalf.

Secondly there have been a number of refugees rehoused under the relevant
Housing legislation governing the
provision of housing to Homeless people. A number of these tenants
subsequently moved else where in the UK upon
finding work.

The Council is unable to speak on behalf of other social landlords in the
North Tyneside area .
