Dear Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Local Health Board,
I would like to request information in relation to the number of
staff working for ABM University Health Board who have been
assaulted while at work.
I’d be grateful if you could supply the following information:
1a The number of members of staff who were assaulted between
2008-2009
1b The nature of each assault
1c Whether or not each assault was reported to the police
1d Where the member of staff was working when the assault took
place
2a The number of members of staff who were assaulted between
2009-2010
2b The nature of each assault
2c Whether or not the assault was reported to the police
2d Where the member of staff was working when the assault took
place
3a The number of members of staff who were assaulted between
2010-2011
3b The nature of each assault
3c Whether or not the assault was reported to the police
3d Where the member of staff was working when the assault took
place

Can you clarify your definition of 'assault' please i.e. purely a physical assault or does it include violence as defined in our policy e.g. verbal abuse?
