Assaults on Children

Enquiry Ref: 2010/589

I acknowledge receipt of your email received on 31/12/2010 requesting the
following information;

1) What is police procedure when children under 14 years report assaults
by parents and step parents

2) Please suppply the figures for how many incidents like this have been
reported in north wales over the last 5 years

As set out by the Freedom of Information Act, it will be our aim to
respond to your request by 28/01/2011. In some cases, however, we may be
unable to achieve this deadline. If this occurs, we will advise you of the
likely timescale within which the response will be provided.

issued

- also how many more incidents were given crime references rather than
being recorded on crime book
