I would like to request any statistical information held by BTP on
the number of (i) violent and (ii) sexual assaults committed on
railways and the London Underground in the last year for which data
is available. If possible, I would like this broken down by the
gender of the victim.

Your request has now been considered and I can confirm that we hold the
information that you have requested. This information is attached above
relates to the calendar year 2010 and is all crimes recorded by BTP which
have been committed in England, Wales and Scotland including London
Underground/DLR.
