Dear Maureen McCulloch,
I am writing regarding your request for information, which was received on
27 July 2010 In that request, you stated.
" We are interested in the Asbestos Register for HMP Glenochil. We look
forward to receiving this information within the next 20 working days"
We have been endeavouring to provide information to satisfy this request
however it has become evident that in order to identify and locate the
information that you have asked for we need some further information from
you. The Asbestos Register for HMP Glenochil covers a period from 1995
onwards and is a complex and constantly developing document. In
particular, it would be useful to know if you can define a time frame
which you would consider relevant to you requirement, It would also help
us to assist you if you could be more specific regarding the information
you require.
As I am unable to continue without this, I will put your request on hold
until I hear back from you. I acknowledge that the 20 days allowed for
response by the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 expires today
and that a response is now due. I apologise for this delay and will
endeavour to get a full response to you upon receipt of your
clarification.

materials used of new cell blocks which were built in the early
1970s and were attached to the old building. The contractor on this
building work was Crudens Ltd.
