Art on the Underground Jubilee Line commissioning costs

Neil Hood made this Freedom of Information request to Transport for London

The request was partially successful.

From: Neil Hood

2 June 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

Art on the Underground is commissioning a series of artworks to be
exhibited along the Jubilee line from June 2009 to March 2010. The
print by Richard Long, "ONE THING LEADS TO ANOTHER – EVERYTHING IS
CONNECTED" made in an edition of 60,000 is the first in this series
of commissions.

A) What was the cost of commissioning this particular artwork?

B) How many artworks have been commissioned?

C What is the total cost of commissioning this entire series of
artworks?

D) If the total commissioning cost does not include the expected
costs of ancillary services such as distribution and additional
staff wages, how much extra are these costs anticipated to add?

Yours faithfully,

Neil Hood
