Arriva 9a Bus Route

Paul Beck made this Freedom of Information request to Leicestershire County Council

The request was successful.

From: Paul Beck

30 June 2010

Dear Leicestershire County Council,

q1

What evidence to support the claim that only a few passengers use
the Donisthorpe loop of the 9a has been submitted by Arriva to the
Leicestershire County Council Passenger Transport Unit, to ensure
that this company is not in breach of contract in withdrawing this
service from 18th July 2010?

q2

With particular regard to Arriva's intention to withdraw service
from the "Donsithorpe Loop" on the 9a route from 18th July, please
can the LCC Passenger Transport Unit provide documentation which
provides performance monitoring documentation to support its policy
that 95% of Leicestershire residents have a bus service within 800
metres of their home, together with statistical evidence for the
impact of removing the 9a service from the "Donisthorpe loop"?

q3
Please can LCC passenger transport unit provide all copies of
service level agreements including procedures that the bus
companies contracted to it are required to follow before
implementing a route change.

Yours faithfully,

Paul Beck
