Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to know:

1. If the City of London Police can confirm press reports that only
four people were arrested after entering the Royal Bank of Scotland
premises in Threadneedle Street during the G20 protests on 1st
April 2009.

2. The total number of intruders who climbed into the building
through the broken windows and were filmed by the police cameraman
stationed inside the RBS.

3. How long the police cameraman inside the RBS had been in
position before the windows of the premises were smashed.

I write in connection with your request for information dated 20/04/09,
which was received by the Information Access Office on 21/04/09. I note
that you seek access to the following information:

1. If the City of London Police can confirm press reports that only
four people were arrested after entering the Royal Bank of Scotland
premises in Threadneedle Street during the G20 protests on 1st
April 2009.

2. The total number of intruders who climbed into the building
through the broken windows and were filmed by the police cameraman
stationed inside the RBS.

3. How long the police cameraman inside the RBS had been in
position before the windows of the premises were smashed.

Your request will be considered in accordance with the provisions of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000. You will receive a response within the
statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Act, subject to
the information not being exempt or containing a reference to a third
party. In some circumstances we may be unable to achieve this deadline.
If this is likely you will be informed and given a revised time-scale at
the earliest opportunity.

London police to respond substantively to my FoI request
(COL/09.193) about arrests on RBS premises during the G20
demonstration, a response to which is now over over two months
overdue. I should be grateful for any assistance you can offer on
this matter.

Dear Mr McCarthy

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION REF: COL/09/193

I write in connection with your request for information dated 20 April
2009 in which you seek access to the following information:

1. If the City of London Police can confirm press reports that only four
people were arrested after entering the Royal Bank of Scotland
premises in Threadneedle Street during the G20 protests on 1^st April
2009.

Four individuals were arrested on the day. Two additional individuals
have subsequently been arrested, one of whom has been charged with
burglary and the other charged with criminal damage.

2. The total number of intruders who climbed into the building through
the broken windows and were filmed by the police cameraman stationed
inside the RBS.

We do not hold information relating to the total number of individuals
that entered the RBS building.

3. How long the police cameraman inside the RBS had been in position
before the windows of the premises were smashed.

A police officer equipped with a camera did not enter the RBS building
until after the windows of the premises had been broken.
