Dear Ms Kingston,
many thanks for your letter. With reference to the law enforcement
exception you quote as reason to refuse access to the remaining
records of the Cabinet Office, I would like to request an Internal
Review. Unfortunately, as the explanation of the outcome of the
Public Interest Test was very short and in general terms, I am not
in a position to raise detailed objections. However, I am generally
of the opinion that it is an invalid conclusion to say that
disclosure of just any of the remaining records would prejudice the
outcome of the investigation. To explain my position more clearly,
I would need to obtain at least a schedule of all the documents
that have been found and access to which has been rejected.
Yours sincerely,
Michael Bimmler

Dear Sir or Madam,
further to my previous correspondance, as you will surely know, the
Information Commissioner's Office considers 20 working days as a
reasonable amount of time (as mandated by law) to finish Internal
Reviews. Only in exceptional cases should this period be extended
to 40 days and only if the applicant is told what causes the delay
of the Internal Review and is kept uptodate throughout the process.
As my IR request is dated January 28th, I believe I would now be
quite definitely entitled to an update on the progress of my
request and would be grateful for a response at your earliest
convenience.
Yours sincerely,
Michael Bimmler

remedy but to file a complaint with the Information Commissioner's
office.
