Dear Ms Rickard
Please find detailed below a response to your FOI request in respect to
the above matter.
Following the results of the recent ballot and the announcement of
industrial action, it was confirmed that the workforce would be
participating in the action. Accordingly, the domestic service was
suspended for two days of industrial action because there were
insufficient staff to safely operate the service.
In line with the policy of Wolverhampton City Council for the collection
of domestic rubbish following a non-collection, for example, a bank
holiday, all domestic rubbish is collected on the next available scheduled
collection date, one week later for domestic residual waste.
Domestic rubbish due for collection on the 16^th July was therefore
collected on 23^rd July, and rubbish due for collection on the 17^th July
was therefore collected on the 24^th July.
Internal meetings between the Authority and Enterprise (the service
provider of the Waste Partnership) took place to ensure this policy was
enacted. The Waste Partnership completed all scheduled quality checks to
monitor this.

Alistair Merrick
