From: M Bimmler
8 February 2010
Dear Foreign and Commonwealth Office,
on October 16, 2008, your Office released information concerning
the Armenian Genocide to Mr Geoffrey Robertson QC or his
instructing solicitor, Mr Bernard Andonian (cf. Letter from Lynne
Rocks, FCO, to Bernard Andonian, 16 October 2008, referenced in
Robertson, Geoffrey: "Was there an Armenian Genocide?" available at
http://www.geoffreyrobertson.com/pdf/Arm...
footnote 72).
On March 13, 2009, your Office released further information (Lynne
Rocks, Russia, South Caucasia and Central Asia Directorate, FCO, to
Bernard Andonian, 13 March 2009, referenced in ibid. footnote 74).
Noting briefly that the Freedom of Information Act is applicant
blind, I ask you to send me a copy of all such information as has
been released to Mr Robertson / Mr Andonian.
I should mention that I was unable to find such information in the
"Released documents 2009" and "Released documents 2008" section of
your website.
I hereby express a preference for receiving an electronic copy of
these documents to this website.
Should this be impossible, I shall ask you to send the documents to
me by postal mail and will advise you of my address accordingly at
that stage.
Yours faithfully,
Michael Bimmler

Dear Mr Foster,
thank you for your email dated 3 March 2010.
1) I shall send you my postal address by separate private email so
that you can send me the released documents.
2) May I just ask you to clarify something? You mentioned
redactions to the documents, both for irrelevance and for section
27 (1) (a) reasons. Are these redactions that were also made in the
response to Mr Andonian's request or have these redactions been
added only now for the purposes of my own request? I have not been
quite sure how to read your letter on this aspect.
Thanks a lot for your assistance,
Yours sincerely,
Michael Bimmler

Mr Bimmler,
Thank you for your email. The redactions which I mentioned are mostly those made in the initial release. In addition, some very minor redactions have been made in withholding the names of officials. This was originally over looked but has been corrected within the documents that we are releasing.
Thank you for supplying a copy of your postal address, we will send the documents through to you as stated.
Yours sincerely.
