Dear West Yorkshire Police,
I am writing under the Freedom of Information 2000, and kindly
request the following information about the police force in WEST
YORKSHIRE.
1) How many police officers are routinely armed with a gun in West
Yorkshire.
2) How many police officers are routinely armed with the tasor in
West Yorkshire
3) Regarding questions 1 and 2, could you also give each number as
a percentage compared to the total number of police officers in
West Yorkshire. (eg, 20% of officers in West Yorkshire carry the
tasor)
ps. By "routinely", I mean on a day to day basis.
Could I please have these facts as specific as possible?

West Yorkshire Police should not be allowed out on the streets, let along to carry weapons of any sort.
People who systematically abuse the elderly should be locked up!

If you want to see what West Yorkshire police are capable of, armed or otherwise, please see the injuries inflicted on 86 year old Norman Scarth of Bradford, and ask yourself if this force should be carrying guns.
