Armed Forces Day

John Simpson made this Freedom of Information request to Ministry of Defence

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Ministry of Defence should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Under the Freedom of Information Act, is a list held by the
Ministry of Defence on which towns and cities have agreed to hold
events to honour Armed Forces Day and which councils have committed
to flying the Armed Forces Day flag on the 22nd of June.

I am aware of a map displaying certain event locations at
http://www.armedforcesday.org.uk/Events.... , but is there a more
complete list held centrally?

Also if possible please release any communications made by the
Ministry of Defence to councils, schools, other government
departments or organisations about celebrating and honouring Armed
Forces Day. If any responses were received by the MOD from
Councils, Schools, government departments or other organisations
saying they were unable to celebrate the event or simply refused
please release those communications or list them.

Thank you in advance.

Yours faithfully,

John Simpson
