Andrew Montford made this Freedom of Information request to Meteorological Office
Meteorological Office did not have the information requested.
From: Andrew Montford
16 December 2011
Dear Meteorological Office,
I refer you to the Information Commissioner's recent advice that
information held on private email accounts is subject to freedom of
information legislation.
I am interested in correspondence relating to the IPCC's Third
Assessment Report WGI (AR3). I believe that Sir John Houghton used
a private email account to handle his work on this report. I would
like copies of Sir John's correspondence related to AR3 with any of
the following people:
Mike Hulme
Bob Watson
David Warrilow
Lord May
I would also like:
i) any correspondence relating to the paleoclimate chapter of AR3
and/or paleoclimate reconstructions in general
ii) any correspondence relating to the summary for policymakers of
AR3.
Since this request relates to environmental information I believe
it should be handled under the Environmental Information
Regulations.
I have copied this message to Sir John Houghton.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew Montford
