Dear Mr Whitmore,

Thank you very much for your FOI request, which we received on 19^th
October 2009, asking for details on an approved list of consultants and
how to apply to go on the list.

The Works and Estates department of Aneurin Bevan Health Board use the
following two routes to obtain consultants, depending on the value of the
work, job or scheme.

2. `OGC' Buying Solutions (The Office of Government Commerce (OGC))

The websites outlined above give details of how these systems work, how to
become a supplier and tendering opportunities.

Schemes valued over £6 million require Welsh Assembly Government
approval, which would be handled by Welsh Health Estates, Cardiff.
