Tom Brett Young made this Freedom of Information request to UK Border Agency
The request was successful.

Dear Sirs
I understand that the UKBA maintains a database of "accredited
colleges" in relation to the ESOL with Citizenship Materials
courses which are required by applicants seeking to satisfy the
Knowledge of Language and Life in the UK requirements for
settlement and citizenship.
I should be grateful if you would:
1. send me the current list of accredited colleges;
2. advise how often this list is reviewed; and
3. advise what steps are taken to inform students who have obtained
an ESOL with citizenship materials qualification from a college
which has subsequently been removed from the list of accredited
colleges.
Yours faithfully,
Tom Brett Young
