Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FOI) request dated 29 June 2011, requesting a breakdown of how much we would pay to a college and/or training provider for the completion of any Apprenticeship qualification.

I have been provided with the following information in relation to your request:

An Apprenticeship comprises of a framework of qualifications, consisting of a main competency qualification, (for example a NVQ), a technical knowledge qualification and Functional/Key Skills/GCSE.

The amount the Skills Funding Agency pays a college/training organisation for the achievement of an Apprenticeship framework is 25% of the funding value of the main competency qualification. This is paid when the Apprenticeship Framework is achieved.
