30 June 2011

Dear Leicestershire County Council,
Please can you tell me how many children are receiving any Applied
Behavioural Analysis provision.

Please can you then tell me how many of them had Applied
Behavioural Analysis due to a tribunal order and how many receive
this without a tribunal.

Please can you forward me any policy documents that are associated
with the awarding of any Applied Behavioural Analysis provision and
demonstrate how the decision is made.

Finally, please can you explain your rationale for awarding Applied
Behavioural Analysis without tribunal orders.

Yours faithfully,

B Saunders

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST

FOI Request Number :2782
Description :Applied Behavioural Analysis

Dear B Saunders

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Leicestershire County Council. Your request for information has now been considered and the information is as follows.

"Please can you tell me how many children are receiving any Applied Behavioural Analysis provision."

One child is receiving this provision.

"Please can you then tell me how many of them had Applied Behavioural Analysis due to a tribunal order and how many receive this without a tribunal."

This case was through a tribunal order.

"Please can you forward me any policy documents that are associated with the awarding of any Applied Behavioural Analysis provision and demonstrate how the decision is made."

We have no specific policy regarding this. We would not typically consider an ABA approach without a tribunal order, although we might consider the use of the school for other children with autism and learning difficulties.

"Finally, please can you explain your rationale for awarding Applied Behavioural Analysis without tribunal orders."

The decision would be made by the LA's statement panel on a case by case basis.
