Dear James

We have made an investigation of our admissions systems and I am afraid that we cannot provide the level of detail that you require, as we have never, using a number of systems over the period you specify, done so (i.e. never separated applicants out by on-time/late, main cycle/Clearing, current cycle/deferred or by UCAS/direct).

We can however, provide a copy of our standard admissions report to the University senior management group for January (which captures UCAS on time applicants ) and the end of each cycle going back to a maximum of 5 years; this is based on all full-time undergraduate courses, however, not just UCAS ones. Please see attached a sample of the layout and information that could be provided.

Formally, then, under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act, we do not hold the information you require [Section 1. (1) (a)] but we would be happy to provide you with the data described above and attached.

The UCAS statistical service (http://www.ucas.com/about_us/stat_servic... ) may be able to help you.

Please let me know what you would like us to do in response to your query.

Kind regards

Stephen
