Application from Society of Homeopaths
Tony Brooks made this Freedom of Information request to Health Professions Council
The request was successful.
From: Tony Brooks
8 August 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
It has been reported that the Society of Homeopaths is wanting to
lobby the Health Professions Council to include homeopathy within
its regulation remit. Please can you provide me with copies of any
communications between the SoH and the HPC relating to such an
approach.
Yours faithfully,
Tony Brooks

Dear Sir or Madam,
I have to remind you once again that you are breaking the law in
failing to respond to my request dated 8th August. Under the
Freedom of Information Act you are required to provide the
information I asked for within twenty working days.
If I do not hear from you within the next week I shall in the first
place apply for an Internal Review and then, if you still fail to
reply, I shall report the matter to the Information Commissioner.
Yours faithfully,
Tony Brooks

Dear Sir or Madam,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Health Professions
Council's handling of my FOI request 'Application from Society of
Homeopaths'.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is
available on the Internet at this address:
http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ap...
The Society of Homeopaths have repeatedly announced that they have
applied to the HPC for registration but the HPC have refused to
confirm this.
I have sent two reminders to the HPC but there has been been no
response of any kind. This is a matter of some interest to the
public and the request is not a difficult one to comply with.
Therefore I ask you to review HPC's failure to respond and to
advise me of your findings.
Yours faithfully,
Tony Brooks
