DSD overturned)?

3. What is the total cost of the administration and hearing of all
ESA appeals in Northern Ireland to the Tribunals Service?

4. How many ESA appeals have been heard in Northern Ireland by
month since
ESA appeals started?

Dear Sir,

Your recent request under FOI for the following information refers;

1. How many appeals have been concerned with Employment and Support
Allowance (ESA) in Northern Ireland?

Answer: for the period 27/10/2008 to 30/09/2010 a total of 8208
appeals have been received in connection with ESA in Northern Ireland

2. Of these, how many appeals have been allowed (decisions of the
DSD overturned)?

Answer: For the period 27/10/2008 to 30/09/2010 a total of 1138
appeals have been allowed.

3. What is the total cost of the administration and hearing of all
ESA appeals in Northern Ireland to the Tribunals Service?

4. How many ESA appeals have been heard in Northern Ireland by
month since
ESA appeals started?

Questions 3 and 4 fall under the responsibility of the Department of
Justice.
