Good morning Steve,

Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding, I have now received a response from our Democratic Support Officer and can confirm the correct figures for your original question are:

As at 28 July 2011, 263 appeals were received for Reception in 2011.
Of these 42 were withdrawn or allocated from the waiting list (withdrawn - 24, allocated from the waiting list - 18) and 43 were yet to be heard.

In response to your second question:

The total number of appeals which were heard was 178 and of these 15 were successful. Which leaves 163 appeals which were unsuccessful.
