Anti Corruption Hotline

P. John made this Freedom of Information request to Cabinet Office

Cabinet Office did not have the information requested.

From: P. John

7 May 2011

Dear Cabinet Office,

I was reminded recently, that Andrew Mitchell(*) assured the public
in 2007 that;

"A Conservative government will establish an anti-corruption
hotline on its first day in office".

A few days have passed since the present Conservative Government
assumed office, so can I presume the hotline is well established?

If so, please could you disclose to me;

- What is the telephone number for the hot line?
- How many calls has the hotline taken?

I'd like to report the current directors of British Telecom for
their treacherous relationship with Russian/ American/ Greek/
Turkish spyware criminals, and responsibility for the industrial
espionage involved in the BT/Phorm affair.

And perhaps one or two related concerns about senior Civil
Service/Cabinet Office staff, a City of London detective, an Avon &
Somerset detective, staff of the Information Commissioners Office,
and members of the CPS Complex Casework team too.

Please could you also disclose to me, who will receive and
investigate allegations of corruption reported to the hotline?

Please also confirm, the line won't be operated by BT, or manned by
BT staff. Because if so, it is already compromised by corrupt
thieving spying crooks with links to Russian/American organised
crime.

many thanks,
Yours faithfully,

P John

Dear Mr Ballinger,

many thanks.

I hope the anti-corruption hot line - if it ever does launch - is a
freephone number!

I'd hate to think some corrupt Civil Servant might do a shady deal
with Ian Livingston on a premium rate number staffed by BT
employees with an autodialler.

But it wouldn't surprise me. BT have got past form (*).

Yours faithfully,

P. John

There is a new Anti-Corruption Committee headed by self-appointed Anti-Corruption Champion, Kenneth Clarke, MP, and including Catherine McKinnell, MP, but if you expect a response, you might as well go and whistle for one.

There was a hotline to the Serious Fraud Office, but they ignore all complaints and have undergone a shake up because, instead of arresting and prosecuting criminals, they have been making private financial settlements with them.

If you find a way to report corruption in the UK and have it being taken seriously, you would do the public a great service if you would post the information online.

Many people try to report corruption but are blocked and ignored by every single agent, government department or quango in the land.
