Dear Home Office,
Under the Freedom of Information act, I would like access to any
research conducted by the Home Office into the use and application
of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology during the
1980s. In particular, I would like access to information regarding
the M1 Motorway Experiment between 1982 and 1984, and the Dartford
Tunnel Experiment that preceded it.
Yours faithfully,
B Taylor

Dear K Sawyer,
You stated that:
"We have carried out a thorough search and we have established that
the Centre for
Applied Science and Technology, Road Policing Unit and Police
Transparency Unit
do not hold the information which you have requested. Databases and
Archives
have been searched but our information does not relate to the
period which you
requested information about."
If this is indeed the case, could you please tell me what dates
your databases and archives do cover, and where the the information
before those dates will have gone to. Thank you very much.
Yours sincerely,
B Taylor

Dear K Sawyer,
While I appreciate your help so far, I have not received any
responses to my last two requests, for clarification about the
names/dates of these files or for the additional documents which
appear to have been mistakenly left out.
Additionally, parts 3 and 5 actually seem to be the same document.
I would appreciate a response, otherwise I may request an internal
review.
Yours sincerely,
B Taylor
