Dear Care Quality Commission,
I am writing to make an Open Government request for all the
information to which I am entitled under the Freedom of Information
Act 2000.
In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my query
as specifically as possible.
If however this request is too wide or too unclear, I would
begrateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the
Act, you are required to advise and assist requesters.
I am researching into the difference in numbers between males and
females diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia. I would like
the numbers of each sex diagnosed in a calendar year.
The more recent the information you can provide me, the more
helpful it would be.
I understand that under the Act, I should be entitled to a response
within 20 working days. I would be grateful if you could confirm in
writing or by email that you have received this request. I look
forward to hearing from you in the near future.

I acknowledge receipt of your e-mail dated 19th January 2011 containing
an information access request in accordance with the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (FOIA), which the Commission received on that day.
You requested: -
I am researching the difference in numbers between males and females
diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia. I would like the numbers of
each sex diagnosed in a calendar year. The more recent the information you
can provide me, the more helpful it would be.
We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any event,
within 20 working days following the date of receipt of your request as
outlined by the Act. You can therefore expect a response by close of
business 16th February 2011 respectively. We will write to you before the
deadline for response if we are unable to meet it.
Please note that the information you have requested may be subject to an
exemption. Should this occur, you will be notified accordingly when we
write to you next.
