Annual spend by Monmouthshire nurseries on temporary cover

Dear Monmouthshire Council,

I am seeking a summary of the amount of money spent by each
Monmouthshire Nursery or Early Years setting during the 2008/9 and
2009/10 financial years on Temporary staff.

By summary, I mean the data that is provided by nurseries at the
end of the financial year to the council, showing what they have
spent for that year.

(This information relates to lines CFR 02 & CFR 26 of the schools
Consistent Financial reporting system.)

I will accept the data on an excel spreadsheet, ideally with the
following headers:

School Name> CFR 02 Spend 08/09> CFR 26 Spend 08/09

eg.
School Name ----- CFR 02 Spend 08/09 ---CFR 26 Spend 08/09
Joe Bloggs High School ----- 99,199 ----- 24,199
Jane Doe Primary School ----- 17,276 ------ 27,999

Thank you for contacting Monmouthshire County Council with a request for
information regarding the annual spend by nurseries on temporary cover.

This information has to be sought directly from our nurseries, who are on
their summer break at present. The request will be sent to them upon their
return on 2nd September. You will, therefore, receive a response in 20
working days from that date, which is 30th September 2010.

Dear L Hitchcock,

Some clarification is required regarding your FOI request for the annual
spend by Monmouthshire nurseries on temporary cover. The reference to the
schools Consistent Financial Reporting system (CFR02 and CFR26) is not
recognised by this Authority and it is assumed that this only relates to
English Authorities.

It would, therefore, be appreciated if you could vary your request to
include reference to Welsh Financial Regulations. We will then be pleased
to look again at supplying the information you require.

This information is not readily available. I would need to ask each school to review every supply appointment during the years and review timesheets for each member of staff.

Frequently, when supply staff are appointed, and may work in nursery for the morning session and then key stage 1 for the afternoon.

I envisage this will take this over the 18 hours and therefore a cost will be applied, do you wish me to proceed?
