Freedom of Information Request R002231: Spend on publicity material
2008/09

Under Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act local authorities can
refuse requests for information where the cost of dealing with them would
exceed the 'appropriate limit', which for local government is set at
**450. This represents the estimated cost of one person spending 18
working hours in determining whether the council holds the information,
locating, retrieving and extracting the information. To provide the
information you have requested in line with your enquiry would, it is
estimated, exceed the ***appropriate limit***.

However, I can refer you to the Council's Annual Statement of Accounts,
which is available on the Council's website and includes the total spent
on advertising and publicity for 2008/09 which can be found on page 30/31
of the document (link below).
