Animal testing funded by cosmetics companies

Dr. Geraint Bevan made this Freedom of Information request to University of Edinburgh

The request was successful.

From: Dr. Geraint Bevan

26 January 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

I should be grateful if you would provide me with details of
research involving animal testing undertaken at the University of
Edinburgh, funded wholly or in part by cosmetics companies, for
each year since 1997.

Specifically, I would like to know 1) the year in which a licence
from the Home Office was obtained, 2) the project aims and 3) the
expected benefits associated with each project.

If the cost of providing this information would be prohibitive, I
am most interested in more recent years, so please adjust the
cut-off date if necessary.

Yours faithfully,

Dr. Geraint Bevan
