Anglo-Spanish Understanding

david schiller made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Business, Innovation and Skills

Department for Business, Innovation and Skills did not have the information requested.

From: david schiller

4 January 2010

Dear Department for Business, Innovation and Skills,

A request for information submitted to the Cabinet Office was
responded to as follows:-

"I have spoken to colleagues in the Cabinet Office and I understand
the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) may be
better placed to answer your request. They have policy lead for
Trade issues, and therefore, I believe more likely to hold the
information you are requesting"

My request was " There is evidence to suggest that representatives
of the UK and Spanish governments had discussions regarding
mutually advantageous business arrangements towards the end of the
1980's Of course that was some time before the present government
came to power - If it is not the Cabinet Office who may hold
relevant information it may be that you could direct me to the
correct dept (Home Office or FCO?)
If your Office does hold any relevant information required to be
disclosed under the terms of the FOIA I would be obliged for
confirmation"

Perhaps you can assist?

Sincerely, David Schiller
