Amount spent on the Glasgow Homeopathic Hospital

The request was successful.

Dear Greater Glasgow NHS Board,

Going to divide this into four points, just for convenience.

1. I'm interested in knowing how much is spent on the Glasgow Homeopathic Hospital (part of Gartnavel). Can you give me its budget, including its share in the cost of Gartnavel (e.g. building maintenance for the buildings it uses, cleaning costs, staff costs for all staff involved, etc., - basically, including all costs of running it) The last 5 years will be sufficient. Please itemise the budget, insofar as this is possible.

If the cost of a type of expenditure isn't known, can you specifically note this, so that the uncertainty can be determined?

If a lot of uncertainty exists, can I also have the budget for Gartnavel as a whole, to give a maximum?

2. May I have the total cost for the purpose-built extension that the Glasgow Homeopathic Hospital resides in?

3. Can I have details of the total number of patients treated by the Glasgow Homeopathic Hospital, and total number and time of appointments? Please provide this in a format comparable with the details in point 1.

4. I don't know quite how your data is arranged, so I'll leave this point a little open-ended, so that it's easier to answer. I basically want to know the trend in number of patients specifically using dedicated NHS homeopathic services in Greater Glasgow over the last 20-30 years, including those sent in from other NHS authorities. Give me whatever level of detail is convenient to the records you have, but please make a distinction between patients from Greater Glasgow patients and ones sent from other NHS authorities if at all possible.

Thank you,

A. Cuerden
