Dear Greater Manchester Police,
I ask to be provided all information that caused GMP to be able to
offer a meaningful amnesty, as reported at
www.salfordonline.com/gmpnews.php?func=v...
specifically I ask to be provided all
1. formulation information that resulted in the amnesty to be
offered; the considerations and arguments.
2. Information that dealt with the legality of offering such an
amnesty
3. Data relating to the anticipated numbers who would confess and
the basis upon which these figures were arrived at
4. The cost of offering the amnesty
5. exchanges and / or agreements with insurers or the insurance
industry that enabled a meaningful amnesty to be offered.
With regard to ‘3’, I anticipate receiving copies of the agreements
reached with insurers and / or the insurance industry enabling the
constabulary to assure those who confessed (had any done so), that
the victim (an insurer ):
6. would not press for a prosecution of a person who reported a
crime intending to deceive them (the insurer) and / or
7. would or would not seek the return of any monies paid following
the false allegation and claim
Yours faithfully,
Philip Swift
