Alternative sites for Newbridge P&R extension

Helen Samuel made this Freedom of Information request to Bath and North East Somerset Council

Bath and North East Somerset Council did not have the information requested.

From: Helen Samuel

2 March 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

With reference to the proposed extension to the Newbridge Park and
Ride. In the online documentation for planning application No.
09/00307/EREG03 there is a map showing that twelve possible sites
were considered for this expansion. However, the documentation does
not give reasons, along with back up evidence, as to why they were
rejected and the proposed site adopted. Please provide the
incontrovertible evidence used in this decision process.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Helen Samuel

Dear Information Governance,

Thank you for your message.

Please could you direct me to the exact document. I've followed the
link and can see nothing dated 30.3.09, so presume the missing
information has been incorporated into an existing document. Which
one?

Yours sincerely,

Helen Samuel

Dear Ms Samuel,

If you use the 'edit' 'find' function on the web browser and search for 'wsp' you will find the report.

It was the only document posted on 30 March 2009 and appears about a quarter of the way down the page.

If you require further assistance please let me know.

Dear Information Governance,

Thank you for this message. I have seen this report on the B&NES'
website before. The reason for my initial enquiry was because pages
7-34, plus some tables are missing. Therefore, it is impossible to
view the information on alternative sites from this posting. Please
could you advise me where I can find the missing pages?

Yours sincerely,

Helen Samuel

Dear Information Governance,

Thank you for your last message. Unfortunately, the report is still
incomplete - Table 1 which apparently gives a comparison of the 12
sites is not included.

In addition, my original request was for 'reasons, along with back
up evidence, as to why they (the alternative sites) were rejected
and the proposed site adopted. Please provide the incontrovertible
evidence used in this decision process.' The missing pages only lay
out the case for an extended park and ride - not the location. So
my query still stands.

Yours sincerely,

Helen Samuel

Dear Ms Samuel,

Thank you for your email.

I am told by our Transportation team that there is no table 1 in the document. The table which contains the information you are looking for can be found on page 116 and is titled Table 3.4 - Bath Riverside - Assessment of Alternative Park and Ride Sites. This provides the information you have requested.
