As of January 2010, please could you tell me:
1) How many allotment sites are there for which South Lanarkshire
Council has access to waiting list data?
2) What is the total number of plots on these sites?
3) What is the total number of people on waiting lists for these
sites?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many new council allotment sites were brought into use in
2009? Please give:
a) number of new sites
b) names of new sites
c) total area of new land in hectares
d) total number of new plots

"We are able to provide you with the information you have requested as follows:
1. There are 2 allotment sites which are managed by South Lanarkshire Council where we have access to the waiting lists; these are Allers Allotments in East Kilbride and Richmond Allotments in Rutherglen.
2. Allers Allotments has 90 plots and Richmond Allotments has 17 plots
3. The numbers of people on the waiting list are 297 for Allers and 114 for Richmond, giving a total waiting list of 411 ( figures correct as of 24/3/10)
4. Neither of these sites are closed to further applications
5. There were no new council allotment sites brought into use in 2009."
