Allotment waiting lists

Dear South Ayrshire Council,

As of January 2010, please could you tell me:

1) How many allotment sites are there for which South Ayrshire
Council has access to waiting list data?

2) What is the total number of plots on these sites?

3) What is the total number of people on waiting lists for these
sites?

4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?

5) How many new council allotment sites were brought into use in
2009? Please give:
a) number of new sites
b) names of new sites
c) total area of new land in hectares
d) total number of new plots

Dear FOI,

In January I wrote asking for details of allotment waiting lists
and new allotment provision in SAC.

You responded very promptly, but I wonder if you could please
clarify one of the figures supplied i.e. the area of new allotment
land (and number of plots on it) brought into use by the council in
2009.

You informed me that there were 95 new plots on 108 ha of land. I
wonder if the decimal point has 'slipped', since one would normally
expect something in the region of 4,000 allotments to be
accomodated on 108 ha of land.

I'd be very grateful if this could be re-examined and the figures
confirmed.
