Allotment waiting lists

The Council's policy is to release information unless an exemption can be
reasonably applied. The Council will respond within 20 working days by
either releasing the information or letting you know why it cannot release

1) How many allotment sites are there in Welwyn Hatfield for which Welwyn
Hatfield District Council has access to waiting list data? - 42. We have
waiting list data for all sites.

2) What is the total number of plots on these sites? - 325

3) What is the total number of people on waiting lists for these sites? -
215. 174 in Welwyn Garden City and 41 in Hatfield.

4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications? - No

5) How many new council allotment sites were brought into use in 2009?
Please give:

a) Number of new sites - 3

b) Names of new sites - St.Audreys Green and Marley Road in Welwyn
Garden City and Hawbush Close in Welwyn Village.

c) Total area of new land in hectares - 0.2239 hectares

d) Total number of new plots - 23
