Dear Hounslow Borough Council,
As of January 2010, please could you tell me:
1) How many allotment sites are there in Hounslow for which
Hounslow Borough Council has access to waiting list data?
2) What is the total number of plots on these sites?
3) What is the total number of people on waiting lists for these
sites?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many new council allotment sites were brought into use in
2009? Please give:
a) number of new sites
b) names of new sites
c) total area of new land in hectares
d) total number of new plots

Dear Ms Campbell,
Thank you for your FOI request dated 1/1/10. The answers to the questions
you asked are listed below:
1. Hounslow have 28 allotment sites.
2. In total there are 1787 plots
3. As of 4th January 2010, there are 1304 people on the waiting
lists.
4. The waiting lists for all of the Chiswick Area are closed to
further applications. We are also considering closing further wait lists
in Isleworth, Brentford and Hounslow due to high
demand.
5. No new sites have been brought into use in 2009.
