On the 27th January I submitted a request for information. Under
the Freedom of Information Act you should have replied by now, and
are breaking the law.

My request is below. I would be grateful for an early response to
this now.

Dear Mrs Campbell

Further to your original email of 25th February 2009 and your subsequent email of 13th June 2009 I apologise for the delay in responding to your enquiry.

I can respond to the questions you have raised as follows :-

Q1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which the council has access to waiting list data?

Ans) The Council has waiting list data on 10 allotment sites.

Q2) How many plots are on these sites in total?
Ans) In total there are 247 plots of which 172 are full plots and 75 half plots.

Q3) In total how many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment ?
Ans) In total there are approximately 515 currently on waiting lists for allotment sites managed by the Council.

Q4) Are any of these waiting lists closed for further applications ?
Ans No all waiting lists are currently open and accepting applications.

Q5) How many sites are there in total in the Council Area.
Ans) There are 14 sites in total within the Warrington area ( to our knowledge) 10 of these sites are managed and operated by the Council, 1 by Lymm Parish Council, 1 by Woolston Parish Council, 1 in Stockton Heath operated by Stockton Heath Garden Society, 1 at Taylor St Lower Walton operated by Peel Holdings.

I apologise for the delay in responding to you and hope the information provided meets your requirements.

If you are not satisfied with my response to your request for information, you may ask the Council for an internal review of this decision. You should write to Timothy Date, Solicitor to the Council and Head of Corporate Governance, at Warrington Borough Council, Quattro, Buttermarket Street, Warrington WA1 1BN giving details of your complaint. You should do this as soon as possible, or, in any case, within two months of your request being refused.

If, following the outcome of the internal review, you remain dissatisfied with the Council's response to your information request, you have a right under section 50 of the Act to appeal to the Information Commissioner at:
