As of December 2008, please could you tell me:
1) How many allotment sites are there in the Borough for which the
council has access to waiting list data?
2) How many plots are on these sites?
3) How many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many sites are there in total in the Borough?

Dear Ms Campbell
I refer to your email below. I can give you the following information in
relation to your five questions.
1 The Council maintains the waiting list for two allotment sites,
the rest are maintained by the Allotment Secretaries. Details of all the
Council's allotment sites, how to contact the secretary etc, appear on
our website www.trafford.gov.uk, A to Z, A - Allotments.
2 There are approximately 30 plots on these two sites.
3 There are approximately 500 people on the waiting lists in
total.
4 A few of the waiting lists are closed to further applications.
5 There are currently 34 allotment sites in the borough.
The Council's Allotments Officer, Janet Long, would be happy to answer
any further questions you have. She can be contacted by email,
