FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST - R1180

Dear Mrs Campbell

Your request for information has now been considered. The information
requested is as follows;

As of December 2008, please could you tell me:

1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which

the council has access to waiting list data?

There are 23 sites for which the Council has waiting list data

2) How many plots are on these sites?

1317 plots

3) How many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment?

There are approximately 200 people on waiting lists for an allotment and
some 200 plots spare in the city. The vacant plots do not match the
desired locations for the people on the waiting lists.

4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?

All the sites have open waiting lists and as demand increases the Council
looks for alternative sites.

5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?

There are 42 sites within the Unitary Boundary of the Council
