As of December 2008, please could you tell me:
1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which
the council has access to waiting list data?
2) How many plots are on these sites?
3) How many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?

Dear Ms Campbell,
Thank you for your request made under the Freedom of Information Act,
received in this office on 22 December 2008.
The answers to your questions are as follows:
Q1 - All 26 sites
Q2 - A total of 1361 plots
Q3 - 186 persons waiting
Q4 - 16 sites are temporarily suspended from further additions to the
current waiting lists
Q5 - 28 sites. There are only another two small allotment sites non ECC
managed, one belonging to Network Rail and the other to St Leonards
Church.
If you have any complaints about the way your request has been handled
please write to the Complaints Monitoring Officer of the City Council or
complete the online complaint form that can be found at
www.exeter.gov.uk/complaints. If your complaint is not resolved to your
satisfaction you have the right to apply to the Information Commissioner
for a decision.
