1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which
the council has access to waiting list data?

2) How many plots are on these sites?

3) How many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment?

4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?

5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?

Dear Ms Campbell

Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Request for Information

Thank you for your request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. We will now proceed with the new request which we

I am writing in respect of your recent enquiry for information held by the
Authority under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.

Having consulted with our Neighbourhood Services Directorate, our
responses to your specific requests are as follows:-

1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which the
council has access to waiting list data?

Response:- There are 13 sites within the Borough for which the Council has
access to waiting list data.

2) How many plots are on these sites?

Response:- Please see below the number of plots at the sites:-

Response:- Figures supplied are approximate number of people on the
waiting list across the Borough, this number can change on a daily basis,
(due to waiting list forms being received and/or plots becoming vacant and
becoming re-let).

Response:- Currently no waiting lists are closed to further applicants.

5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?

Response:- Erewash Borough Council are aware that there are other
allotment and 'shared' garden sites within the Borough area. These
are usually privately owned or run by the parish groups, We do not have
any jurisdiction over these other sites nor do we currently hold any
accurate information relating to the total number of sites or their
waiting lists. That being the case we would inform you, in accordance with
Section 1.1.a of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, that the information
you seek is not held by this authority.

If for whatever reason you are unhappy with our response you are entitled
to pursue any dissatisfaction through the Council's Complaints Procedure
details of which are available via the Council's website at:-
