1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which
the council has access to waiting list data?

2) How many plots are on these sites?

3) How many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment?

4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?

5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?

The following response was received to my enquiry on Mon, 22 Dec 2008

"Please see below the answers to your FOI request

1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which the council has access to waiting list data?

There are 24 sites within the Blyth Valley area.

2) How many plots are on these sites?

There are 577 plots on the various sites.

3) How many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment?

As of Monday 22nd December 2008 there are 1691 applications on the various site waiting lists.

4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?

There are no closed applications to sites under the equal opportunities policy.

5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?

There are 29 sites managed by Streetcare and 5 sites run by two allotment associations in the Blyth area."
