As of January 2009, please could you tell me:
1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which
the council has access to waiting list data?
2) In total, how many plots are on these sites ?
3) In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an
allotment?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?

Dear Ms Campbell,
Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FOI) request that was received
by email on 1/2/09 regarding our allotments.. As you will be aware, the
Council has 20 working days to respond to FOI requests and you would be
entitled to a full response by no later than 27^th February 2009.
I am able to provide responses to the questions you have asked.
The London Borough of Hounslow currently has 1,877 allotment plots on 30
sites, which gives Hounslow approximately 47 plots per 1,000 households,
significantly above the national average which is 15 plots per 1000
households.
The table below shows the locations of each of our allotments which are
spread across 30 separate sites.

OCCUPANCY LEVELS 2008
The information that I have available is as follows which means that in
reality there is availability across the borough for those who would want
an allotment and as such there are no waiting lists unless residents
wanted a specific allotment. Each area has some availability.
o West - 70 %
o Central - 65.9 %
o Heston and Cranford - 70 %
o Isleworth and Brentford - 97.5 %
o Chiswick - 98.7%
Average occupancy across the borough 2008 - 80%
