As of January 2009, please could you tell me:
1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which
the council has access to waiting list data?
2) In total, how many plots are on these sites ?
3) In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an
allotment?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?

Dear Margaret Campbell
I am writing in connection with your request for information under the
Freedom Of Information Act 2000 reagrding Allotment waiting list data,
which I received on 3rd February 2009.
I have forwarded your request for information to Andy Sherwood in the
council. He will contact you shortly if he requires any additional
information in order to respond to your request appropriately. He will
also contact you if he feels your request may fall under a requirement for
a fee to be levied regarding the request for information this fee will
need to be paid prior to the request for information being answered.
Every effort will be made to respond to you within 10 working days of
receipt of your request. However, if because of the nature of your
request further investigations are necessary, we will respond within the
20 day maximum entitled to us under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
In the meantime, if you have any further comments relating to your

Dear Sir or Madam,
As of January 2009, please could you tell me:
1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which
the council has access to waiting list data?
The council is responsible for 8 sites
2) In total, how many plots are on these sites ?
Total number of plots 231
3) In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an
allotment?
There are 156 people on the waiting list (Please note this does include
some people on the waiting list for more than one site)
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
No we continue to accept people on our waiting lists
5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?
We only hold records and details for our own sites but we are aware of at
least 25 sites held by parish / town councils in the district however
there may be others including some private sites details for other sites
within the district would be provided by the individual Parish / Town
