Dear Sir or Madam,
As of January 2009, please could you tell me:
1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which
the council has access to waiting list data?
2) In total, how many plots are on these sites ?
3) In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an
allotment?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?

Thank you for your request dated 30/01/2009 for the following information:
Five questions regarding allotment sites
Section 10(1) of the Freedom of Information Act requires that we process
your application within 20 working days of the date we received your
request, therefore we will respond to you by 27/02/2009. If we are unable
to meet this deadline we will inform you of this and the reasons why.
If the information is already available to you through the Council's
publication scheme we will advise you of this. We will advise you whether
we hold the information you have requested and if you are able to access
it. In some cases where exclusions apply we will not be able to provide
you with the information you have requested. If we are unable to provide
the information you request we will contact you and inform you of the
reasons why.In some cases there may be a charge for the information you
have requested. We will keep charges to a minimum and will inform you as
soon as possible of any charges that apply.
If you are unhappy with the Council's decision you can make a complaint
via the Council's complaints procedures and this will be looked into. If
you are not happy with this decision you may then appeal to the
Information Commissioner.

above mentioned information. We hope the information supplied satisfies

The information enclosed is/are as follows:
*Thurrock Allotment Steering Group - TASG
Q1. How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which the
council has access to waiting list data?
Answer: 10 sites where waiting list data via TASG
Q2. In total, how many plots are on these sites?
Answer: 460
Q3. In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an
allotment?
74 in total from 7 sites via TASG data
Q4. Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
Not to our knowledge - no waiting lists closed.
5. How many sites are there in total in the Council area?
24 self managed sites, where Thurrock Council own the land, but managed
via individual allotment associations affiliated to TASG.
2 Council Managed sites.
If you are unhappy with the Council's decision you can make a complaint
via the
Council's complaints procedures and this will be looked into. If you are
not happy with
this decision you may then appeal to the Information Commissioner.
